Langebaan is situated on the eastern shore of the Langebaan lagoon. Until recently it was a holiday resort, retirement and fishing village. However, it has grown phenomenally over the past few years owing to the arrival of the steel project in neighbouring Saldanga Bay and an aggresive marketing campaign on the West Coast.
